the Foreign Ministry reacted to the strike on Odessa – tsn.ua

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reacted to the strike on Odessa.

It took Russia less than 24 hours to launch a missile attack on the city’s port area. Odessa question the agreements and promises made by it to the UN and Turkey in the document signed in Istanbul on July 22.

About it declared Speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Nikolenko.

“The Russian missile is Vladimir Putin’s spit in the face of UN Secretary General António Guterres and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who made great efforts to reach an agreement, and for which Ukraine is grateful,” he said.

Nikolenko added that Ukraine notes the need for strict implementation of the agreements on the resumption of the safe export of Ukrainian agricultural products by the Black Sea from three ports: Odessa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny.

“We call on the UN and Turkey to ensure Russia’s compliance with its obligations within the framework of the safe operation of the grain corridor. In case of failure to comply with the agreements reached, Russia will bear full responsibility for the deepening of the global food crisis,” he added.

Earlier it was known that Russians attacked Odessa commercial sea port cruise missiles of the Caliber type. Two missiles were shot down by air defense forces, two hit the infrastructure of the port.

Recall, on July 22, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN in Istanbul signed an agreement on unblocking ports and exporting Ukrainian grain. A mirror agreement with Turkey and the UN was also signed by Russia.
