The Montreal Canadiens’ playoff round ended Friday in Toronto with a 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 6 of their series.

CH quickly shot themselves in the foot, allowing the Flyers two goals in the first six minutes of play. Ivan Provorov and Kevin Hayes were both able to put the puck behind Carey Price, who was unlucky on the two fillets.
First, the Flyers defenseman saw his shot deflect on Shea Weber before outwitting the Montreal goaltender. For his part, Hayes saw his pass hit the paddle of Artturi Lehkonen’s stick before making his way between No.31’s pads.
Price was unlucky again for Michael Raffl’s success in the second engagement. While he was in defensive withdrawal, Ben Chiarot came to hinder the work of his goalkeeper by colliding with him. Following a shot from Travis Sanheim that then hit Michael Raffl, the puck slowly slipped behind the 33-year-old.
Price ended the game with 14 saves on 17 shots.
Suzuki, the bearer of hope
Nick Suzuki allowed the Canadian to believe it until the end by scoring both goals for his team. He took advantage of a power play in the first period, when the score was 2-0, to grab a loose puck in the slot and push it under Carter Hart.
In the second period, Suzuki completed a passing game from Jonathan Drouin to restore a one-goal gap between the teams.
Hart gave in twice to Suzuki, but still performed brilliantly in front of the Pennsylvania roster, fending off 31 pucks.
It was the first time since 1992 that a rookie Habs player has scored twice in a playoff game. Gilbert Dionne is the one who achieved the feat.
In the next round, the Flyers will meet the New York Islanders, who eliminated the Washington Capitals in five games.

02:51 – The Flyers benefit from a surplus! Scott Laughton comes to the right flank and lets out a good low pitch. Price stops the pad and immobilizes the disc.
02:22 – Canadians have not said their last word. Jonathan Drouin gets a good chance to score with a good shot. He grabs his return throw, but fails to hit the target.
01:20 – The CH tries to respond immediately. Jeff Petry takes a good shot, which is repelled by Carter Hart.
00:28 – GOAL FLYERS! Philadelphia wastes no time in opening the brand. Ivan Provorov lets go of a pitch immediately after a face-off, which beats Carey Price! 1-0.
