The New Mutants, due in theaters on August 26, continues to fuel the suspense. On the occasion of Comic-Con, which takes place online this year, the film crew chose to unveil the first two minutes.
While American cinema is suffering the full brunt of the pandemic and the most awaited releases fall like flies day after day, some diehards are still resisting the onslaught of the virus. This is the case of the New Mutants, the film by Josh Boone with Maisie Williams (Arya Stark in Game of Thrones), Anya Taylor-Joy (Gina Gray in Peaky Blinders) and Charlie Heaton (Jonathan in Stranger Things). Not only is the planned release date still maintained, but the film crew even have a nice gift for those who are looking forward to it. On the occasion of the introduction of the San Diego Comic-Con panel, a high mass of American pop-culture, the production decided to unveil the first two minutes of the film in full.
We discover an introductory scene centered on Mirage who sweats adrenaline. After a frantic race, explosions galore and an encounter with ill-intentioned supernatural forces, the character played by Blu Hunt finds himself handcuffed to a hospital bed not really welcoming… An action-packed entry for this spin- off the X-Men. It tells the story of a group of teenagers who strive to learn to master their powers. This darker and less smooth interpretation of the world of superheroes should therefore arrive in theaters on August 26 … assuming that everything goes as planned. Which seems to be off to a good start, but not guaranteed because as the specialized site reminds us Allocine, the film has already accumulated a significant delay since it was supposed to be released in April 2018.
