TVE has already started with the promotion of ‘MasterChef Celebrity 5’. The new edition of the successful culinary reality show features 16 celebrities who get involved in a gastronomic battle to win the title of winner.
The trailer announces that the program will arrive “very soon”, but an exact release date is not yet known. However, taking into account that many chains are betting on their new formats after the end of the holiday period, the fifth installment could be expected during the first half of September.
The video also revealed the candidates for the podium of this edition. A cast that includes Florentino Fernández, Gonzalo Miró, Raquel Meroño, Juan José Ballesta, La Terremoto de Alcorcón, Melani Olivares, Josie, Raquel Sánchez Silva, Nicolás Coronado, Lucía Dominguín, David Fernández, Laura Sánchez, Jesús Castro, Ainhoa Arteta, Perico Delgado and former minister Celia Villalobos. A mix of comedians, memorable characters, artists and even politicians, who will surely give us a funniest edition.
What will not change will be the jury. Jordi Cruz, Samanta Vallejo-Nájera and Pepe Rodríguez Rey are the chefs who will continue to present the tests and give their evaluations. The organization could have decided to renew them all three since in the last season viewers liked them a lot for knowing how to find the middle ground between criticism and sarcasm when judging.
The preview is loaded with funny moments. From Florentino Pérez with his “You are going to kick me out of the contest on the first day to take your restaurant on the second day” or to Josie hydrating her face because if she does not stay “like a lady”. The show always gives us great moments that never fail to bring us a smile and ‘MasterChef Celebrity 5’ does not pretend to be the opposite. Tamara Falco he left the level very high when he won the last installment and it remains to be seen if a new VIP manages to overshadow him.
