Lidia is the first female taxi driver from Valleseco, a town in Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria.

Twenty years ago he began to develop his profession as a taxi driver in this municipality.

Currently of the five licenses at the Valleseco stop, she is the oldest.

In Lidia’s case, family expectations about her life trajectory coincided with hers, receiving support from her father and mother to be independent and autonomous by dedicating herself to a profession traditionally marked by gender stereotypes.
