A 44-year-old man, who had also been diagnosed with untreated HIV-AIDS infection, died in a Buenos Aires hospital. The man suffered from septic shock, which led to his death.
The patient had been in the intensive care unit with respiratory support since mid-September. His death was registered on November 22nd.
Argentina has confirmed 895 cases of monkeypox, mostly concentrated in the capital Buenos Aires, as well as in the provinces of Buenos Aires and Córdoba.
