The Quebec public health authorities confirmed Friday evening the first case of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), either the one in question since Thursday.

After a positive analysis by the Quebec Public Health Laboratory, the case was also declared positive by the federal national laboratory in Winnipeg.
“Recall that the infected person, who returned from a trip to Iran, went to a medical clinic because he had mild symptoms, said the Minister of Health and Social Services, in a statement Friday evening. When taking care of this person, all precautionary measures were put in place. Her condition does not require hospitalization, she is currently in solitary confinement at her home. ”
The patient in question is a woman from the Montreal region.
