Five people injured in fire in Urban Hospital

A fire broke out in the Vivantes Clinic am Urban in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Saturday morning. Several hospital workers and patients were slightly injured. The fire was quickly extinguished.

There was a fire on Saturday morning in a patient room at the Vivantes Clinic am Urban in Berlin’s Dieffenbachstrasse. Five people were slightly injured.

As the fire brigade announced on Twitter, the hospital staff had already brought all patients to safety when the approximately 60 emergency services arrived on site. Three hospital employees and two patients were slightly injured by smoke gas. “They were treated directly in the hospital, but did not have to be hospitalized,” said a fire department spokesman.

The mission was said to be over after three hours. The fire could easily be extinguished.

The cause of the fire and the exact course of events were initially unclear. As the “B.Z.“reported that the fire should have broken out in the part of the closed psychiatric clinic. According to information from the newspaper, two patients in the ward were on loan during the operation.
