Gridhot.ID – Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli bahuri, has recently become a media spotlight.
Because the former South Sumatra Police Chief was known to drive helicopter for his visit to South Sumatra some time ago.
In that case, Firli bahuri allegedly violated code of Ethics and in handling Board of Trustees NCP.
The KPK Supervisory Board’s examination related to the alleged violation of Komjen Firli Bahuri’s ethics is still rolling.
The KPK chairman was reportedly suspected of having a luxurious lifestyle riding a luxury helicopter.
Until yesterday Firli was still reluctant to comment on the report.
When contacted Tribunnews.com, the former South Sumatra Police Chief admitted that he only focused on working.
“I just work and work,” Firli said when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday (6/26/2020).
Firli was also reluctant to respond to complaints from the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) to the KPK Dewas.
However, he admitted that he was also complained when he met with the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menkopolhukam) Mahfud MD.
Nevertheless, Firli was again reluctant to explain in more detail the statement.
While KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata claimed to have communicated with Firli about allegations of luxury lifestyle by riding a luxury helicopter.
According to Alex, Firli did rent the helicopter. This happened when Firli departed from Palembang for Baturaja, South Sumatra.
Firli was in Baturaja on leave. Alex said Firli only took a day off. While the distance between Palembang and Baturaja is quite far.
So, according to Alex, Firli decided to rent a helicopter to shorten the time.
“Yesterday it was true that the person involved was on leave to Baturaja, reportedly the person in question took a helicopter and it was indeed paid,” Alex said after distributing masks in the Sudirman area, Jakarta, Friday (6/26/2020).
“Regardless, yes, whatever the public’s opinion, but in terms of time efficiency that he considers because leave is only one day,” he continued.
However, Alex was reluctant to comment further about the KPK Dewas examination. Because, this is the realm of Dewas KPK.
On the other hand, Dewas KPK said that it had examined Firli for reports of alleged violation of the code of ethics for riding on luxury helicopters.
KPK Dewas member Syamsuddin Haris said Firli was examined on Thursday (6/25/2020).
But Syamsuddin did not elaborate on the material for the examination of Firli.
“It has been clarified or questioned by Dewas. (Examination) last Thursday,” said Syamsuddin when confirmed in Jakarta, Friday (6/26/2020).
Another member of the Supervisory Board, Albertina Ho, said that they continue to collect evidence in cases of alleged violations of Firli’s code of ethics related to luxury lifestyle as reported by the public.
“This is still gathering evidence. Later after that the new evidence will be examined by Dewas in a preliminary examination,” he said.

The Head of KPK Dewas, Tumpak Panggabean, claimed to have formed a team to identify the actual facts related to the report.
“Dewas has assigned the team to identify further facts. We will carry out this oversight task as well as possible,” he said.
Previously, Firli was reported to the KPK Dewas by the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI).
MAKI Coordinator Boyamin Saiman made two reports related to alleged violations of the code of conduct by Firli.
First is about non-compliance with health protocols and secondly about luxury lifestyle by using a helicopter owned by a private company with the PK-JTO code for personal interests to make a pilgrimage.
Firli is alleged to have violated the code of ethics as stipulated in point 27 aspects of integrity of the Supervisory Board Regulation No. 1 of 2020 concerning the Code of Ethics and the KPK Code of Conduct.
The rule reads: “The Code of Ethics of the Basic Values of Integrity is reflected in the Code of Conduct for Commission Persons as follows, (27), Does not show the lifestyle of hedonism as a form of empathy for the community especially to fellow Commission Members”
“Today MAKI has sent via email to the KPK Supervisory Board containing complaints of alleged violations of the code of ethics by Firli the KPK Chairperson for the use of luxury helicopters for travel from Palembang to Baturaja on Saturday, June 20, 2020,” Boyamin said some time ago.
MAKI suspected Firli’s attitude had violated the KPK’s code of ethics, which is related to the prohibition of luxury lifestyle. Because according to MAKI, the Palembang trip to Baturaja only takes four hours by road by car. (Tribune network / ham / dod)
