An email that has just reached Spotify users in Spain warns that the company will raise the price of its family plan, making access more expensive for all members of a family.
The family plan is one of the most popular of those available on Spotify, thanks to the fact that it offers “Premium” access to up to six different accounts; as its name suggests, that makes it ideal for all family members to access the benefits of Premium.
However, it is now the users of this very advantageous plan who will suffer the blow of paying something more every month, after the company has announced the change by surprise.
More expensive family Spotify
In the mail, which for now is only reaching private users and not the press, it is indicated that the new price of the Spotify family plan will be 15.99 euros per month; therefore, it rises one euro compared to the 14.99 euros that users paid up to now.
This change is already reflected on the official Spotify page, where buying the family plan already costs 15.99 euros per month for new users. However, to ease the transition to the new price, Spotify is going to give users who already have the plan one more month.
