The ‘Encanto’ of Colombia reaches the cinema | Entertainment | Trends

The long-awaited film “Encanto”, production number 60 by Walt Disney Animation Studios, opens this Thursday, November 25 in Latin America. This production is directed by Jared Bush, the co-director of Zootopia, and by Bryon Howard, director of the same film.

The animation reflects the daily life of a Colombian family, known as the Madrigal- with special gifts-, in a magical house, located in a place in the middle of the mountains, known with the same name from the film.

The film’s original soundtrack in Spanish includes eight songs, incidental music, instrumental and credit versions. The musical creation was commissioned by Germaine Franco, an award-winning composer, who worked with Lin Manuel Miranda, to nurture the audiovisual production of Colombian rhythms.
