The brooch, one of the largest from Elizabeth II, was a gift from the city of Richmond to Queen Mary for her wedding to King George V. Made by Hunt and Roskell, it is made of diamonds set with two pearls, one large central round and another removable in the shape of a pear, which today Isabel II has suppressed. He has worn it quite a few times throughout his reign. One of the most prominent in recent times was for the wedding of prince harry and meghan markle, held in the same chapel where this Saturday the Duke of Edinburgh was fired.
