During the renovations, the large dome of the Jami Mosque in northern Jakarta, Indonesia caught fire and collapsed. No one was injured in the accident, second Globe of Jakarta with reference to the police.
The mosque is located in a complex of buildings belonging to the Jakarta Islamic Center, a think tank for the study of Islam. The cause of the accident is being investigated and four employees of the contractor, which was tasked with repairing the mosque, were questioned.
