The distribution of the wallet cards of the Junta de Andalucía begins | Radio Coca – SER Ronda

The mayor, Maripaz Fernández, accompanied by the Social Welfare delegate, Cristina Durán, and the president of the Red Cross in Ronda, Antonio Lasanta, has reported on the wallet cards from Junta de Andalucía, a program aimed at the most vulnerable people from which they will benefit 85 families from Ronda. The wallet cards of the Junta de Andalucía are managed by the regional administration, the City Council and the Red Cross and their amount ranges between 150 and 250 euros for the purchase of basic food and hygiene products in establishments in the city, as explained by Fernández. The councilor has also indicated that in her delivery, priority will be given to those families most affected by the crisis and who are in charge of the largest number of sons and daughters between zero and twelve years old, according to the criteria established by the Andalusian government decree.

He distribution of the cards has started today and it will continue for the next four months starting with those family units with the greatest number of dependent minors. In total, some 17.000 euros in Ronda to this aid program of the Junta de Andalucía. For his part, the president of the Red Cross has pointed out that it is expected that since it is a dynamic program, the number of beneficiaries will be greater due to the improvement of the socioeconomic situation of the families. In addition to Ronda, The Red Cross will also manage these cards in another 21 municipalities of the Serranía.

Also in this appearance the mayor recalled the implementation of local level of a programa similar by the City Council and the Red Cross. In this case each card is endowed with fifty euros and its delivery is made to all families using the social services of the City Council whose file is complete. “The assistance effort has been and is fundamental in these months, both social and economic, on the part of the City of Ronda and the Red Cross, as well as other entities such as the Junta de Andalucía”, said Fernández.

The president of the Red Cross also wanted to highlight the institutional collaboration in the fight against the consequences of the economic crisis generated by the pandemic. As reported by Lasanta, since last March 14 more than 2,500 thousand humanitarian interventions in our city focused on the most disadvantaged groups such as children, the elderly, battered women or the homeless. To this effort, she explained, we must add the fact that these face-to-face interventions have been developed in compliance with all the recommendations of the health authorities to prevent the risk of Covid-19 infections.

Regarding other issues, Lasanta recalled that this week the Red Cross, together with the Ronda City Council, will collaborate in the new blood collection organized by the Regional Blood Transfusion Center of Malaga, and after it the volunteers will continue with the distribution of purse cards of the program launched by the City Council and the Red Cross, of which about 250 have been delivered so far. It is expected that in the coming weeks as many will be delivered up to five hundred.
