Serbia, which publicly declares its goal of joining the EU, should coordinate its foreign policy with the rest of Europe. This was stated at a briefing by State Department Speaker Ned Price.

The State Department speaker also stressed that the United States has constantly called on Serbia to take steps that advance its European path. In addition to harmonizing foreign policy with the EU, this includes diversifying energy supplies and reducing energy dependence on the Russian Federation.
