the Dijon Opera will suspend its concerts following the discovery of a case of coronavirus

Since the end of the month of may, the Dijon Opera had launched the Festival, Artists in resistance / Artist in residence. But, this cycle of concerts is suspended following the discovery of a case of covid-19 within the artistic team of the festival.

After a confinement of two months put in place to curb the epidemic of coronavirus and waiting to regain a normal activity, the Dijon Opera had launched a festival of unprecedented called “Artists-in-residence / resistance”. From 27 may to 6 July, 36 concerts to be provided in streaming on the Opera’s web site, its page Facebook and his YouTube account.

Since 27 may, 16 concerts have been given at 20h : “they have allowed a thirty performers to find more than 70,000 auditors in line“and “more than 400 people physically in the room from 17 June in the strictest observance of the safety instructions”.

Some of these concerts “are the subject ofa partnership with France musique and will be broadcast this summer, further broadening their audience”, indicates the direction of the Opera of Dijon.

But, a new blow strikes the Opera house of Dijon.

In fact, a case of covid-19 has been “discovered” within the artistic team of the festival”. Hence the decision to “suspend” the concerts, Artists in resistance / Artist in residence this week for health reasons.

“This measure taken reluctantly goes beyond the recommendations of the official, to allow to envisage the resumption of the activities of the Opera in a secure environment and perfectly serene for all.

All concerts are broadcast remain visible on the internet site of the Opera house throughout the summer ! Has to see, or to review pending the joy of meeting again”, indicates the direction of the Opera of Dijon.
