Also, after the release, CD Projekt Red was a bit cautious about the multiplayer implementation of “Cyberpunk 2077”. As of January 2021, CEO Adam Kiciński has commented that he would be “reconsidering” multiplayer. On the other hand, this was met by users with the nuance of canceling or delaying development in terms of multiplayer content for “Cyberpunk 2077”. Firstly, regarding multiplayer content, it was announced before the release of “Cyberpunk 2077” that “it will be implemented after implementing free DLC and updates after the release”. The DLC of the same work is expected to be released in the future, so there is a possibility that it will be expanded later. In any case, the main part of the game was not finished at the time of release, and the free update period was long, so the implementation of the multiplayer content was probably delayed as well as the development of the DLC.

CD PROJEKT RED emphasized in its corporate strategy report from October this year that future development titles will not only provide single-player stories, but multiplayer experiences as well.
