Regarding special advisor Lee Dong-gwan, who was nominated as the new chairman of the Korea Communications Commission yesterday, the Democratic Party called for the nomination to be withdrawn, saying that candidate Lee’s then-time response to allegations of school violence by his children was typical of “abusive parents.”

The ruling party refuted, asking to stop the violent tyranny of the huge opposition party on the premise of speculation, and to verify it in line with the public’s eye level at the personnel hearing.

The Democratic Party repeatedly urged the withdrawal of the nomination for candidate Lee Dong-gwan, focusing on the process of responding to allegations of school violence by children.

Candidate Lee said at the time that he had called Hanago Chairman Kim Seung-yu “in order to know the situation more accurately”, but Chairman Kim said that he had a specific request, “Please take the exam and transfer.”

″Rather than taking responsibility for school violence and reflecting on it, it is like saying that we should stop being disadvantaged due to school transfer right away. What a wonderful and reassuring father.”

The Democratic Party argued that this behavior is the epitome of ‘abusive parents’ and ‘malicious civil complaints’ that can drive teachers to death.

To President Yoon Seok-yeol, while investigating the suspicion of the National Intelligence Service’s involvement in the presidential election and politics during his time as a prosecutor, Lee Dong-gwan was the person who mobilized the National Intelligence Service to control the media at the time, and asked if the problematic figure at that time was the right person now.

The People’s Power criticized the Democratic Party for being preoccupied with all sorts of speculations and only focusing on catching their ankles before they even started.

″Even though there is a legitimate procedure for appointing the chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, the Democratic Party is still alive. Are you intending to perpetrate the violent tyranny of the huge opposition party again?”

″The Moon Jae-in regime’s former Korea Communications Commission Chairman Han Sang-hyeok is the one who took control of the broadcasting even manipulated the overall evaluation score,″ and argued that ″the claim of designation for control of broadcasting is self-contradictory″.

He repeatedly covered this candidate as ″a person who can innovate the broadcasting ecosystem in a future-oriented way″, and refuted that ″you can verify it in line with the public’s eye level at the personnel hearing.″

Afterwards, the reporter plans to go to the office near the Gwacheon Government Complex next Monday to prepare for the hearing in earnest.

If an agreement is reached between the ruling and opposition parties, the hearing is expected to be held by the end of next month.
