Florence, 27 June 2020 – In Tuscany I’m 12 new cases of positive people to coronavirus in the last 24 hours (the total rises to 10,238). The new cases are 0.1% more than the total of the previous day. A significant growth, given that the figure of Friday 26 June was only 2 new positives. The recovered ones grow by 0.1% and reach 8,817 (l ’86, 1% of the total cases).
The tests performed reached 329,865, 3,220 more than yesterday. There are currently 318 positives, + 1.3% compared to yesterday. Today there are no new deaths.
Below are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday. There are 3,187 total cases to date in Florence (2 more than yesterday), 532 in Prato, 747 in Pistoia (4 more), 1,050 in Massa, 1,351 in Lucca, 928 in Pisa (3 more), 476 in Livorno, 673 in Arezzo (2 more), 427 in Siena, 396 in Grosseto (1 more). There are 471 positive cases reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions. 6 more then the cases found today in the central ASL, 3 in the north west, 3 in the south east. Tuscany confirms its 10th place in Italy as a number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 275 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average around 398 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure).
The provinces of notification with the highest rate are Massa Carrara with 539 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Lucca with 348, Florence with 315, the lowest Livorno with 142. Overall, 298 people are in isolation at home, as they have mild symptoms that do not they require hospital treatment, or are symptom-free (11 more than yesterday, plus 3.8%). There are 2,275 (minus 125 compared to yesterday, minus 5.2%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people (Asl center 732, North West 1,491, South East 52).
The numbers are still decreasing hospitalized people in the beds dedicated to Covid patients, which today total 20, (7 less than yesterday, – 25.9%), of which 6 in intensive care (stable compared to yesterday). IS the lowest point achieved since March 4, 2020 for total hospitalizations. The total number of people healed rises to 8,817 (plus 8 compared to yesterday, plus 0.1%): 295 “clinically healed” people (minus 2 compared to yesterday, minus 0.7%), that is, who have become asymptomatic after presenting associated clinical manifestations infection and 8,522 (plus 10 compared to yesterday, plus 0.1%) declared cured in all respects, the so-called viral healings, with double negative buffer.
1,103 remain deceased since the beginning of the epidemic divided as follows: 405 in Florence, 51 in Prato, 81 in Pistoia, 164 in Massa Carrara, 141 in Lucca, 89 in Pisa, 61 in Livorno, 46 in Arezzo, 33 in Siena, 24 in Grosseto, 8 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region. The raw Tuscan mortality rate (number of deceased / resident population) for Covid-19 is 29.6 x 100,000 residents against 57.5 x 100,000 of the Italian average (11th region). As for the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (84.2 x 100,000), Florence (40.0 x 100,000) and Lucca (36.4 x 100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (10 , 8 x 100,000).
