The cyclist rode on a road bike along Všenorská Street in Dobřichovice towards Tyršová Street. According to witnesses, he ran the front wheel between the panels at the level crossing and fell off the wheel. After the fall, he lay unconscious at the crossing, unconscious. Police officers, policemen and rescuers immediately set out for the scene. “To rescue the cyclist, the rescue crew set out, the crew with a doctor and an air rescue helicopter was also sent from Prague,” said Petra Effenbergerová, a spokeswoman for the Central Bohemian rescuers.

Witnesses started the first aid

The police were the first to arrive. Before their arrival, the cyclist was resuscitated by witnesses. The resuscitation was then continued for a few minutes by the police and then by the rescuers called in.

“After approximately 15 minutes, the cyclist’s basic life functions were restored. This was followed by transport to the helicopter and air transport of the patient to the Central Military Hospital in Střešovice,” described Bořek Bulíček from Trans Hospital PLUS.

Apparently, the cyclist was significantly helped to wear a safety helmet. The whole thing is still being dealt with by the police.
