The craftsman who sold the remains of his dead wife… ‘Soul Wedding’ turned over in China

The grave of his wife, who died 12 years ago, was dug up and the remains disappeared. When I caught the killer, it was surprisingly my wife’s parents. Even more surprising, the remains of the disappeared wife were sold to relate to the couple with another deceased. It is a so-called celebrity marriage, which has a great impact on Chinese society.

As a result of police investigation, the killer was the parents of the deceased
What’s surprising is why I took the ashes and gold
To hold a ceremonial marriage ceremony for the dead

In China, it is surprising that there is still a custom of the marriage between the deceased, which is said to have existed since before the Han Dynasty, 2000 years ago. [중국 바이두 캡처]

– The incident occurred at 12 o’clock on the night of November 15, the first day of October on the lunar calendar. The tomb of Kang Pei-pei, who died 12 years ago, was the wife of Li Qingfeng, who lives in Huangye city in Hebei Province, about 240 kilometers from Beijing.

At first, I thought it was a robber’s job. After reporting to the police and investigating the tomb, the burial product, Samgeum (三金), which was buried with his wife’s body, disappeared. Samgeum refers to gold necklaces, gold rings, and gold earrings.

However, the strange thing is that the ashes also disappeared without a trace, and there was a red radish in the coffin instead. Li Qingfeng’s father Li Weijun (李偉軍) had something in mind. This is because I received a phone call from the parents of my daughter-in-law who died a while ago.

– At first, Kang Pei-pei’s tomb was with the ancestors of Li’s family, but when he moved his ancestors to another place a few months ago, Kang’s tombs were not moved, leaving him alone. The daughter-in-law’s parents had made a protest call.

In fact, Kang’s death was not normal. Kang, married to Lee’s family in 2008, took his own life within half a year of marriage. Li Qingfeng, her husband, said that Kang was making a secret phone call, and was suspicious of Kang’s affair, which caused frequent quarrels.

– On July 29, 2008, there was another couple fight, and Kang, who left the house in anger, ended Lee Seung’s life after eating pesticides at an inn. Kang’s father, Kang Shin-jeong, and his mother, Hao Gui-hwa, complained that their daughter was not such a woman, and their relationship with Sa-Don was extremely bad.

There were several quarrels during Kang’s funeral. According to the claims of Lee’s family, the Kang family’s demands for funeral were high, so they prepared’samgeum’ and a good shroud. Still, it is said that there were five or six big fights.

In this situation, he took over the tomb of his ancestor and left only the tomb of his daughter-in-law. Weijun Li told his daughter-in-law’s father that if his son Li Qingfeng died, he would move the two tombs together to the place where the tombs of his ancestors were enshrined.

– As Li Weijun predicted, the police investigation revealed that it was Kang’s parents who dug up Kang Pei-pei’s tomb and took the remains and samgeum. Kang’s parents said that they took their daughter’s remains wrapped in a blanket, and that Samgeum also took her for another wedding.

What is another wedding? It was for the marriage between the dead, which is called a myeong-hon (冥婚) or an ein-soul (陰婚) in the meaning of marriage in Myeong-gye (冥界). The parents of Kang Pei-pei thought that their daughter, who died young at a young age, was so sorry that they decided to find another partner after death.

It is said that the marriage of Kang Pei-pei and the son of Ryu’s family, who died in a car accident at the age of 30, were agreed, and the remains of their daughter were brought to join together. The Ryu family has already sent 80,000 yuan (about 13.3 million won) to the Kang family as money for prediction.

In China, professional brokers who broker marriages between the deceased are active. It is said that the body of a young woman is popular and trades for 100,000 to 200,000 yuan. [중국 텅쉰망 캡처]

– The fact that Lee’s family was unearthed is irrelevant. It is the background that is said to have taken the remains of the daughter-in-law and sold it for money. However, Kang’s family is confronting that the money was decided to be returned after the ceremony is over as it is formal for the wedding procedure.

According to Chinese media such as Shin-Bo (新京報), it is not illegal for the Kang family to take ashes and samgeum. This is because the remains were taken by blood-related parents and were not subject to robbery, and Samgeum’s ownership was held by a dead person, and the body management authority belongs to the lion’s family.

On the other hand, the Chinese society is surprised that the custom of marriage, said to have existed before the Han Dynasty of 2000 years ago in a place not far from Beijing, is still prevalent in the private sector.

In China, when there is a demand for a “myeong marriage”, which means marriage between the dead, there are even cases of deliberately killing people to supply bodies. [중국 텅쉰망 캡처]

– In the rural areas of China’s Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, and Shandong, the custom of marriage still remains. It is said that the dead body of a woman is traded for 100,000 to 200,000 yuan.

As a result, the Zhou gang in Ichuan, Shaanxi Province, professionally robbed the body and was caught selling it to Shaanxi. There are also cases of killing young women for a wedding. In April 2016, a man in Kansu province murdered two women because of their marriage.
