The coronavirus continues to rise in Catalonia, where in the last 24 hours 25 deaths and 1,470 new positives have been reported, with a reproduction speed that rises to 1.04, although hospital pressure has been relieved, with 73 fewer patients, although one more in the ICU.
According to the update of the data of the epidemic in Catalonia released this Saturday by the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat, the risk of regrowth (EPG), which measures the potential growth of the coronavirus, has risen four points, to 196, while the speed of reproduction of the disease (Rt) has grown three hundredths, to 1.04.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, in Catalonia a total of 582,446 positives have been confirmed by all kinds of tests -of them 1,470 in the last 24 hours-, while the coronavirus has caused the death of a total of 21,113 people, the latest 25 notified yesterday.
Vaccination
Catalonia has administered the coronavirus vaccine to a total of 663,563 people since the vaccination campaign began –343,431 people have already received the second dose -: the first 3,927 doses of vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours.
Of the total number of people vaccinated with the first dose, 487,457 are from the province of Barcelona, 59,379 from Girona, 45,185 from Lleida and 70,543 from Tarragona; and 58,280 of the total are users of Catalan residences.
