The municipal corporation of Ponteceso agreed, on the morning of this Wednesday, the appointment of a lawyer to defend the plenary agreements adopted by the plenary session on March 29, which were denounced by the socialist group, led by the mayor, Lois García Carballido, through the Contentious-Administrative court. Specifically, the modification of positions and formation of the informative commissions, the modification in the composition of the contracting table, the repeal and creation of a new municipal organization regulation, or the authorization of an investigation commission on the installation of cameras. of video surveillance in municipal offices, among others.
Once the session had started, the municipal secretary asked Lois Garca Carballido and her two companions, Mara Teresa Choucio Calvete and Noela Mara Varela Surez, to leave the room since, as an involved party – complainants in this case – they could not participate in the meeting. voting.
A vote, by the way, very controversial, in which some representatives of the opposition came to charge harshly against the municipal secretary and auditor, who even came to accuse of favoring the interests of the mayor to the detriment of the corporation as a whole. . According to the intervention, if the amount does not exceed 15,000 euros and the term of execution of the service is less than 12 months, the hiring of the lawyer can be processed as a minor contract.
