The Córdoba City Council will have to approve a credit modification to increase the amount for continue paying for public lighting after an electricity bill of more than two million euros due to inflation and the constant increases in the price of energy and fuel. This has been assured by the delegate of the Presidency of the Consistory, Miguel Ángel Torrico, this Monday after the Local Government Board.
In this regard, Torrico has advanced that inflation will force this credit modification because “there is no budget that could foresee it” so they will take to the next City Council Plenary a motion with a package of measures, direct aid and tax cuts, to solve “the chilling” escalation in energy and fuel prices.
The PP spokesman at the City Council has assured that, above all, “we want to help SMEs, the self-employed and families with lower taxes, with a new economic policy that is on the side of the people of Cordoba and not back, as the government of Pedro Sánchez is doing”.
