We have strict rules. The public must enter through one door, and exit through another. But I only have one door! On June 22, details must be given for the opening of cinemas. It will allow us to know more. If we have to respect a distance of one meter between spectators, I divide my gauge by four. There will be twelve or thirteen people in the room. How do I do? Things are not clear enough for me to open. Saying that we can open the rooms in June is good for the image, but in concrete terms, it is unmanageable.
What would it take to allow an opening?
We hear everything and its opposite. Example with masks. We are told that it can only be imposed if we cannot respect distancing. As soon as you dig a little, you realize that there are too many contradictions for one to open.
Is this crisis threatening the survival of your theater?
The City has not withdrawn its support. We think that everything will settle for the start of the new school year in September. One must be optimistic. On the other hand, if we open now, it calls everything into question. We are responsible, so we have to be careful with any procedures.
