In its final observation report, the Paca Regional Chamber of Accounts examined the management of the Aix-Marseille Provence Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the period from 2017 to 2021. It indicates the provision of two employees in associations. A loan that has not been fully repaid.
The CRC magistrates highlighted the particular situation of two people employed by the ICC.
Stéphane Magana, first, made available between 2017 and 2020 for the Team Henri-Fabre association, responsible for promoting industrial innovation. The operation cost over 800,000 euros, including the company car.
The other is Denis Bergé, partly made available to the Africalink association, at a cost of 64,000 euros. This sum was never repaid to the CCI.
The president of the ICC Aix-Marseille Provence, Jean-Luc Chauvin, says he is satisfied with the conclusions of the report of the Regional Chamber of Accounts. He explains that these detachments fall within the scope of the institution’s missions. They made it possible to support future projects for the metropolitan industrial fabric.
“It is an investment that is made for the development of the local economy, in this case we are talking about two very specific sectors, explains Jean-Luc Chauvin. The mechanics around Airbus to increase skills, with new technologies, subcontractors and Airbus teams to maintain a sector in the territory, which is a sector that creates so many jobs and so much wealth. “
In its conclusions, the regional Chamber of Auditors invites the ICC to encourage investments at the service of local businesses.
