Accordingly, around 11:30 a.m. on the same day, Ward 24 Police received a report that a black plastic bag was suspected to contain a fetus. Receiving the news, Ward 24 Police coordinated with Binh Thanh District Police to go to the scene to verify and examine. Through examination, the police determined that inside the plastic bag was: the body of a newborn baby girl. There were two injuries on the baby’s body suspected to have been caused by hard, sharp objects.
The police then took statements from a woman believed to be the mother to continue investigating and clarifying.
