Staff representatives at Périgueux hospital (Dordogne) were offended at the amount of the Covid bonus awarded to Perigordian caregivers (500 euros, compared to 1,500 euros in many establishments). The anger of the hospital being manifested here and there, the decree of May 15 establishing this famous premium has been updated and, according to the version published in the Official Journal this Saturday May 30, the caregivers of Périgueux could, in certain cases, finally collect these 1,500 euros.
The text states: “The head of the establishment may raise the amount of the exceptional bonus to 1,500 euros for the services or agents involved in the care of patients contaminated by the Covid-19 virus or mobilized by the exceptional circumstances of exercise, induced by the health management of the pandemic in establishments located in the departments of the second group [NDLR : dont la Dordogne]. The list of services and the number of agents concerned by the application of this exceptional regime is transmitted by each establishment to the Regional Health Agency to which it reports. “
The news was announced by LREM deputy for Périgueux Philippe Chassaing, who was delighted in a press release: “With this bonus, the government is showing its gratitude to the personnel very involved in this health crisis. I am delighted that he heard this request which I supported. “
According to the report published Thursday, May 28, the coronavirus left 27 dead in Dordogne, including 13 at the hospital in Périgueux. No more patient was in intensive care on Friday 29 May.
