“People with diabetes are far better off consuming rice than vermicelli. Rice from freshly harvested rice that has just been pounded has a lot of fiber content, is rich in fiber and has a much lower glycemic index, white vermicelli has a higher glycemic index than freshly pounded rice,” he said.
