On Saturday morning, on the A1 motorway near Stanisławie, towards Gdańsk, a coach carrying children was crashed.
– According to very preliminary findings – because the services are now focusing on a rescue operation – the coach left the road, punctured the barriers and hit the roadside – informed Michał Sienkiewicz from the press office of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk.
Six people were taken to hospital, including three with more severe injuries, after the accident of a coach carrying children on the A1 motorway near Stanisławie, informed the young asp. Piotr Basarab from the Pomeranian fire brigade.
– 31 people traveled by bus. Virtually all of them required medical intervention to varying degrees, because the bus rolled over. At the moment, six people have been taken to the hospital, three with more injuries, added Basarab.
There are 17 fire brigades, medical services and the police on site. Firefighters have set up a tent for people traveling by coach, and a bus will also be provided for them.
The A1 motorway towards Gdańsk is blocked. GDDKiA informed that in order to go this way, take the Swarożyn junction, then take dk 22 to dk 91 and re-enter the motorway at the Stanisławie junction. In the direction of Łódź, the drivers take one lane of the motorway.
