The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Library Sector is organizing an interactive online lecture (webinar) entitled (Leading Life) by Dr. Awsam Wasfi, Consultant Psychiatrist, at 2 pm on Sunday 17 January, on the Facebook page (Bibliotheca Alexandrina – Information Services).
The lecture will discuss the importance of leading life, the features needed to lead a better life under changing circumstances, the importance of emotional intelligence in dealing with life pressures, and the life skills necessary for mental health and healthy relationships.
This lecture comes in the context of the BA’s interest in developing its services in the digital world, and distance learning, and in line with the precautionary measures taken by state institutions to prevent the emerging corona virus.
The Library of Alexandria is the largest library of its time in a huge project undertaken by Egypt in conjunction with the United Nations, where the library was built anew in a location close to the old library in the Shatby area of the city. The modern library was inaugurated on October 16, 2002, and the library has a large collection of books estimated at 2 million books in Arabic, English and French, as well as a selection of books in other European languages such as German, Italian, Spanish and other rare languages such as Creole, Haiti and Zulu, and the current collection includes resources from donors.
