The Benavente City Council has signed this morning the collaboration agreement with the Local Headquarters of the Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Sports Club
Salvamento Benavente, within the program “Mucho X Vivir” in an act that took place in the Plenary Hall of the Plaza Mayor in Benavente.

Along with the mayor of Benavente, Mr. Luciano Huerga, the president of the AECC Local Headquarters in Benavente, Ms. Carmen Prieto, and the representative of the CD Salvamento Benavente, Mr. Fernando Zanfaño, have also participated in the signing of the agreement.

The signing of this collaboration entails the launch of the project “Mucho x Vivir”.

A project by which the Local Headquarters of the AECC of Benavente organizes a workshop on physical-aquatic activity for women diagnosed with breast cancer in the
municipal facilities provided by the Benavente City Council. For their part, the monitors of the Club Deportivo Salvamento Benavente will be in charge of imparting this weekly activity that will begin this Thursday and will end on Thursday, May 27.

From the Club Deportivo Salvamento Benavente they are very happy to be able to renew this agreement that allows cancer patients to carry out physical activity.

“Although it is in these conditions, we contribute our bit so that the Association’s patients can play sports and enjoy the company that is often the most important thing,” Fernando Zanfaño assured.

For her part, the president of the Local Headquarters of the AECC of Benavente thanked the Benavente City Council and the Sports Club for their willingness to continue with this activity so necessary for the users of the Association: “At this time we value this activity much more because last year with the pandemic we were on the verge of being able to do it. We need to give this service to people diagnosed with cancer or who have overcome it since the users come very excited and very happy “
