The Balearic regional television broadcasts this Saturday ‘Overbooking’ and ‘Tot Inclòs’, two documentaries on the tourist model

The Balearic regional television will broadcast this Saturday two documentaries focused on the tourism model and sustainability, ‘Overbooking’ and ‘Tot Inclòs’.

As reported by the public entity in a statement, ‘Overbooking’ will be broadcast at 10:00 p.m. and at 11:20 p.m. ‘Tot Inclòs’ will begin.

‘Overbooking’, directed by Álex Dioscórides, premiered on January 25, 2019, and was viewed by more than 5,000 people, which extended its broadcast in the Augusta room for more than two weeks.

It is a documentary by ‘Mallorcadocs’ and focuses on the saturation in Mallorca and mass tourism. Former tourism councilors such as Biel Barceló, Celestino Alomar and Jaime Martínez; the dean of the Faculty of Tourism of the UIB, Bartolomé Deyá; the professor of Applied Economics Antoni Riera; the sociologist Antoni Tarabini; the doctor in Geography Ivan Murray; the former president of the Mallorca Hotel Federation Inmaculada de Benito; the GOB spokeswoman, Margalida Ramis; the collective of chambermaids; the founder of Terraferida, Jaume Adrover; and the president of the Association of Apartments and Seasonal Rental Homes of the Balearic Islands, Joan Miralles.

As for ‘Tot Inclòs’, directed by Pedro de Echave, it is a project financed through crowdfunding, a tool with which 15,000 euros were obtained for the work. It was produced and directed by the Tot Inclòs collective in 2017, and deals with the beginning of mass tourism in Mallorca and Ibiza.

Documentaries can also be viewed online from the IB3 website, but will not be available on demand.
