Until December 26th, there are eight options in all districts of Salzburg to be tested for the corona virus free of charge and without registration.
Corona tests without registration
A total of eight test locations will be open in all districts from next Monday, where the population can be tested quickly and easily free of charge, without registration. “The quick solution was possible in cooperation with the Red Cross. The locations in all districts should enable the shortest possible journey. I appeal to you to accept the offer before you spend the holidays with relatives and friends, especially when it comes to risk groups, for example in nursing homes and senior citizens’ homes, ”emphasizes Governor Wilfried Haslauer.
Test locations set up by the Red Cross
The Red Cross will set up the new test locations on the weekend, says State Rescue Commander Anton Holzer: “Of course we support the establishment of corona rapid test stations. We can use the drive-in structures at two locations, this is the case in Schwarzach and Zell am See. We are setting up additional test stations at six other easily accessible and lively locations, ”said State Rescue Commander Anton Holzer. New smear options are now available in the city of Salzburg, Eugendorf, in Tennengau, Mittersill and Tamsweg. The additional test options will be available up to and including December 26th – whether beyond that will be decided in the coming week.
Results by SMS
The result of the rapid antigen test is communicated by SMS. These messages on the mobile phone contain a web link via which a confirmation of the result can be downloaded and printed out. “In particular, visitors to senior citizens’ homes now have the opportunity to be tested free of charge near their home. I ask everyone who wants to visit their relatives there for the holidays to make use of this opportunity, ”emphasizes the Deputy Governor of the State Stöckl.
