There has been speculation about an affordable flagship from Samsung with the name Galaxy S23 FE for quite some time. The Korean giant finally listened to the wishes of the fans and brought them an honestly made smartphone that will please demanding users who have deep pockets or don’t want to spend too much for a great phone. The launch of the new device was not missed by the YouTube channel called PBKreviews, which deals with disassembling phones down to the last screw.
The Galaxy S23 FE certainly does not deny its roots
Dismantling it revealed a few interesting things and also confirmed the similarity with the current flagship model Galaxy S23. These include, for example, a glued glass panel on the back, through which you can get into the insides of the phone. At the same time, it is more common to disassemble models through the front, so the Galaxy S23 FE is quite unconventional in this regard. After unscrewing a few screws, the internal layout is fully revealed, which is strikingly similar to a full-fledged flagship model. A positive thing is the relatively easy replacement of the battery, which is one of the most frequently replaced components in modern smartphones.
One of the significant changes compared to the Galaxy S23 is the fairly large evaporator chamber, which takes care of the removal of waste heat. It is surprisingly larger than in the case of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+, which we definitely did not expect. In conclusion, the PBKreviews channel gives the Galaxy S23 FE a repairability score of 8.5/10, which is a very good rating. From the user’s point of view, it is good to know that in the event of a problem, the service is quite undemanding and will most likely not affect the final price of the repair.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is a full-fledged flagship in many ways. It will offer, for example, a 6.4″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,340 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and a maximum brightness of 1,450 nits, Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 8 GB RAM, 128/256 GB internal memory, water and dust resistance of the IP68 standard, stereo speakers, a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh and support for 25W charging or a main camera with a resolution of 50 Mpx, an aperture of f/1.8 and optical image stabilization. The smartphone will also arrive in the Czech Republic this year at a price of EUR 699 (about 17,100 crowns including VAT).
