The Financial Times also this year has compiled the list of most influential women in the world. On the list there are names of women who work in very different sectors and range from US Supreme Court judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to former tennis player Serena Williams. Among the nominees, however, there is also an Italian one which has stood out for its work successes.

The most influential women in the world

In December of each year, the Financial Times publishes a list with the names of women who are detained the most influential of the yearthat is, those female figures who have most distinguished themselves and left a mark. Shared list brings i names of 25 women who belong to three different categories “leaders”, “heroines” and “creators”. In the “leader” category this year it is present also an Italian. It is Francesca Bellettini, CEO of Yves Saint Laurent since 2013. The name of Bellettini is found alongside that of other important female figures such as Ketanji Brown Jackson, who was the first African American woman to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

Moving on to politics, there are names like Sanna Marino, prime minister of Finland who at 34 is the youngest prime minister in the world. Among the names of the Financial Time are also found several “heroines”. These names are joined by that of Oleksandra V’jačeslavivna Matvijčuk, a Ukrainian lawyer, civil rights activist and leader of the Center for Civil Liberties (CCL) organization who obtained the Nobel Peace Prize.

Another woman who fought hard this year was Rina Gonoithe Japanese soldier who had the courage to accuse some male officers of harassment. “Women of Iran” have also been listed, that is, all of them Iranian women who have been demonstrating for their freedom in recent months. Another figure who has worked for women’s rights is Dr. Rebecca Gomperts who fight for the right to abortion in the United States. Among the nominees there is also MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Bezos who is constantly engaged in charity campaigns.

In “creators” section (creators) are the actress Michelle Yeoh, the writer Tsitsi Dangarembga, the musician and singer Billie Eilish, and Annie Ernaux, the French writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature in 2022. To these are added Megan MarklePrince Harry’s wife who has become “a symbol of resilience” and Anne Imhof, visual artist and choreographer.

The Financial Times has also included an Italian woman in the list of the most influential female characters in the world: Frances Bellettini. After a degree atBocconi University of Milan Francesca Bellettini began her working career in the banking and finance sector.
