[로이터 = 연합뉴스]– US President Joe Biden entered the White House on the 20th (local time) in a presidential vehicle called’Beast’.
Fox News reported on the day that it was not created separately for the new owner of the White House, but only the license plate was changed to ’46,’ meaning the 46th president.
Beast is a GM-manufactured Cadalac limousine for the US president.
Its official name was’Cadillac One’, and it was nicknamed’Beast’ or’Beast’ because of its heavy appearance.
The inside of the car is equipped with state-of-the-art features, so it is called the’moving white house’.
It is 5.5m long and looks like a large passenger car, but it is equipped with various devices and weighs 9 tons.
The 13cm-thick bullet-proof glass cannot be pierced with most bullets. It protects occupants against attacks using improvised explosives (IEDs) and chemical weapons.
The window cannot be opened except for 8cm from the driver’s seat. There are no keyholes on the car door, and only vehicle bodyguards know how to open it.
It is known that it can run even if it is punctured and has a night vision camera, tear gas firing, fire fighting device, internal oxygen supply, blood transfusion, and shotgun.
The price is estimated to be about 1.7 billion won.
Beast came to Korea during the U.S. president’s visit and also appeared in Singapore in 2018, when the North American summit was held.
