Tesla Shattered Expectations | Finansavisen

Tesla produced 305,840 cars and delivered 308,600 cars worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2021, figures from the electric car manufacturer show on Sunday.

The record-high delivery rate was well above expectations on Wall Street, according to Reuters.

According to Refinitiv data, analysts had expected 263,026 deliveries in the last three months of last year. The forecast is in line with the Bloomberg consensus of around 263,000 deliveries.

In total in 2021, Tesla produced 930,422 cars, while 936,172 cars were delivered to customers. This represents a growth of around 87 percent from 2020, according to Bloomberg.

Tesla itself has repeatedly communicated expectations of annual sales growth of 50 percent over a longer period.

According to the news service, Tesla’s sales figures are considered a barometer of general electricity ticket demand.

Clearly most of 3 and Y

The new figures from Tesla show that 13,109 copies of Model S and Model X were produced in the fourth quarter, while deliveries were 11,750.

For Model 3 and Model Y, a total production of 292,731 cars is stated in the fourth quarter, while the number of delivered cars of these models was 296,850.

Taken together last year, the Model 3 and Y accounted for 906,032 of the 930,422 cars produced.

However, the electric car manufacturer does not state where in the world the Teslas are sold.
