Autonomous emergency braking is a useful assistant that can prevent accidents. But you can’t rely on him.

Automatic braking systems are relatively advanced today and also include pedestrian detection. Theoretically, they should be able to stop the car not only in front of a larger obstacle or another vehicle, but also in front of a pedestrian.
However, we have seen several times in recent years that this assistant cannot be relied on. Car manufacturers such as Volvo, Mercedes-Benz or BMW could tell about it.
Videos can be found on the Internet (found below) showing how cars of these brands have failed tests and demonstrations of autonomous braking. Of course, this is not the rule, but it can happen.

The last time the Tesla Model 3 failed in the demonstration of (in) autonomous emergency braking capabilities is funny. that “the safest car you can drive is a Tesla.”
Model 3 failed during a demonstration of Tesla’s security systems in China. During the test, the electric sedan knocked down a dummy that simulated the path of a pedestrian across the road.
The second video is also interesting, showing a test of another Model 3, because we have the opportunity to look into the cabin. The car can probably recognize “pedestrians”, it indicates what is happening on the touch screen, but probably too late.
If it was a real person, it probably wouldn’t have worked out for him at all. Or that Tesla would be so fiercely intelligent that she knew she was just a dummy and thought she could sweep her off the road …?
