To ensure that the car remains securely attached at all times, it must be secured with 20 high-strength bolts that attach to specially designed adapter plates on the monocoque.

Each board is then tied to the other thick chains crossing and anchored to the hall floor. The chains must withstand a force of up to 24 tons to keep the car in constant contact with the rollers.

The powerful fan in the test hall, meanwhile, can supply up to 300,000 cubic meters of air per hour to simulate realistic airflows above the car and supply the engine and cooling systems with the required airflow.
