Tesla is recalling over 1 million cars. Here because

Tesla is recalling nearly 1.1 million vehicles in the United States because the automatic window opening system may not respond correctly after detecting an obstacle. And that increases the risk of injury, Reuters writes, citing documents Elon Musk’s company sent to regulators in America.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this is a violation of the standards for automatic car windows. The exact number of electric vehicles is 1,096,762 units of Model 3 (2017-2022), Model S (2021-2022), Model X (2021-2022) and Model Y (2020-2022).

Tesla’s German plant faces another hurdle

The company wants to expand its factory, but discussions have been postponed

Tesla identified the problem in production tests in August of this year. So the brand’s engineers saw that when the window closed automatically, the system did not react as it should and if a person got in the way of closing the window, they could be pinched. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by letter.

It should be noted that after 13 September the cars produced already have updated software. The company claims that it has no information at this time about any claims or injuries caused by the window problem.

This isn’t the only problem for Tesla lately. In June, former auto company employees filed a lawsuit alleging that the electric car maker’s decision to carry out “mass layoffs” violated US federal laws. The reason: the company did not inform its employees in advance of the upcoming layoffs.

Billionaire Elon Musk previously said the automaker needs to cut around 10% of its workforce to cope with current market conditions.

The lawsuit was filed in Texas by two employees who claim they were fired from the Tesla factory in Sparks, Nevada. According to court records, more than 500 other employees of the same plant have been laid off.
