Elon Musk also visited Volkswagen during his visit to Germany last week, CEO Herbert Diess said on Monday LinkedIn announced. Musk, together with Diess, took a test drive in the electric Volkswagen ID.3, which will be launched this month.
Musk was in Germany last week to visit the construction site just outside Berlin, where the new Tesla factory is due to move. On Wednesday, the Tesla CEO also appears to have a meeting with his counterpart at the Volkswagen group, Herbert Diess. The German posted a video of the two earlier on Monday, in which they test drive the Volkswagen ID.3 at Braunschweig-Wolfsburg airport.
Musk asked Diess about, among other things, the battery capacity of the ID.3 and the safety and driver assistance systems present. The steering behavior was appreciated, as can be seen from the video. According to Diess, the Tesla CEO was less satisfied with the pulling power at higher speed and the intermediate acceleration of the Volkswagen.
A test specimen of the upcoming Volkswagen ID.4 was also on display in the hangar at the airport. It is not known whether Musk has also been on the road with this model.
