In the phase 1 It is allowed to meet on terraces in a maximum group of 10 people, as long as 50% of the available space is not exceeded. The Government changed this aspect, which at the beginning was 30%. In any case, these group meetings must take place respecting the safety and hygiene measures: hand washing and maintaining a distance of two meters or establishing alternative physical protection measures, such as masks.
In the Phase 2, in which the groups can reach 15 people, access to the interior of the premises is allowed, but only to consume at the table, never at the bar.
Municipalities can expand space licenses, but the proportion must always be respected of tables-surface and the pedestrian part must also be increased proportionally. And owners must take responsibility for demanding cleaning measures.
The restriction to access a terrace is limited to opening hours set by the authorities who have the competition. For example in Alicante the possibility of being open was extended until one in the morning. In Madrid the existing regulation is maintained: from 10 in the morning until 2 o’clock, from Sunday to Thursday; and from 10 a.m. to 2.30 a.m. on weekends.
