Teresa Stadlober in Dobbiaco in the 15 km 12th skating race

Cross-country skier Teresa Stadlober ended the calendar year 2019 from a sporting perspective with a twelfth place in the 10 km skating race in Dobbiaco.

“It was a tough race. On the one hand I ran everything on my own and on the other hand I find it difficult to set the pace well in these flat passages,” said the Salzburg native, who was 55 seconds short of the Norwegian winner Therese Johaug.

The distances for the chase race on New Year’s Eve are close. “With a good race, a place in the top ten is possible,” said Stadlober. The Styrian Lisa Unterweger took 42nd place. Salzburg’s Bernhard Tritscher finished 71st in the men’s category, while Russia’s Sergei Ustjugow won the day. Johaug and Ustjugow lead the tour ratings.
