Luca Gelhardt (26) from Versmold in Westphalia won the Bielstein Open. The high-class tennis tournament of the DTB Premium Tour was held for the first time at the Bielstein tennis club in Wiehl-Bielstein.

In the final, number six seeded Gelhardt, number 83 in Germany and number 502 in the world rankings, defeated Jim Walder from Iserlohn 6: 4, 4: 6, 6: 1.
The ranking tournament at Bundesliga level was one of two on the tour in NRW this year. Only DTB ranked players, i.e. top players in Germany, were allowed in the 54 field. Prize money totaling 7,500 euros was distributed.
