Teenagers aged 19 and 15 died in an accident near Lukovit, the regional directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Lovech announced.
The incident happened last night at about 9.20 pm on the first-class road Botevgrad – Pleven, in the section between Lukovit and the village of Petrevene, at the fork for the village of Dermantsi.
A car driven by a 19-year-old young man, able-bodied, from the village of Petrevene, and a truck with a 62-year-old driver from Plovdiv collided head-on.
As a result of the collision, the driver and a 15-year-old passenger of the car died on the spot, and two other minors were taken to the Pleven hospital by the same vehicle. The truck driver’s alcohol test is negative.
Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted in the case at the Lukovit District Office and all the circumstances surrounding the accident are being clarified, according to the Lovech police.
