In NYC, armed violence continues unleashed in 2022, especially with young attackers and perpetratorsputting up a great challenge to the new mayor Eric Adams, who since taking office in January has found obstacles within his own Democratic party y Black Lives Matter (BLM) leaders to face the crisis.

Specifically in July murders experienced a 35% increase compared to the same month last year, going from 31 to 42 cases. Shooting victims and weapons incidents also rose nearly 10%.

The rise in shootings confirms the experts’ fears that New York was going to experience a spike in violence this summer, both with firearms and white.
