Tysheem McDonald, an 18-year-old teenager, was killed and another man was injured when a gunman opened fire from a car at another in Queens (NYC).
McDonald and another 24-year-old man were inside a white car heading north on 147th Avenue near 231st Street in the vecindario Brookville around 6:15 p.m. Sunday, when someone shot at them from a gray sedan, he recounted New York Post.
The teenager was shot in the chest and taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The older victim was rushed to the same hospital, where he remains in stable condition. He described it as “very uncooperative” with the investigation, the NYPD said.
Authorities are investigating whether the victims also exchanged fire with the suspect. McDonald had been arrested on May 28 on a charge of grand theft auto, police sources said.

In NYC, armed violence continues unleashed in 2022, especially with young attackers and perpetratorsputting up a great challenge to the new mayor Eric Adams, who since taking office in January has found obstacles within his own Democratic party y Black Lives Matter (BLM) leaders to face the crisis.

The rise in shootings confirms the experts’ fears that New York was going to experience a spike in violence this summer, both with firearms and white.
