A hell of a pedal stroke. In India, a teenager was spotted by local media and even the national cycling team after her trip across the country. With the arrival of the coronavirus, Jyoti Kumari, 15, and his father, a rickshaw driver, were forced to

But the man, in addition to being ruined because of the government-imposed containment in March, is injured. It was therefore his daughter who transported him by bicycle with their belongings on the luggage rack, from Gurugram, near New Delhi, to their village in the state of Bihar. A journey of 1,200 kilometers completed in seven days. The difficult journey of the father and daughter, perched on a used bike bought with their last tickets, hit the headlines in India.
A Bihar girl cycled over 1200 km, from Gurugram to Darbhanga, carrying her injured father. Cycling Federation of India has offered her a trial. Jyoti Kumari said that she will give the trial after a month as she is exhausted from the long journey.

Studies and a place on the national cycling team
The story also caught the attention of the Indian Cycling Federation, which offered Jyoti Kumari a test to try to join the national team. “I think she has something in it (…), that level of endurance,” said Federation President Onkar Singh.
