It is still very restless at NAC. Trainer Peter Hyballa and technical manager Tom Van Den Abbeele are diametrically opposed and wait in the hope that one keeps the honor to himself and leaves NAC.
The tensions exploded last week when Hyballa made mincemeat of the working method of the Belgian technical manager in an interview. It played a lot longer in the background, according to a story by BN DeStem. The two have had ‘no contact with each other for weeks’, while preparation for the new season is imminent. General manager Mattijs Manders does not want to intervene.
After all, he has just been appointed and does not want to fire a trainer or technical manager in his first four weeks. This has created a status quo: Van Den Abbeele has insisted on the dismissal of Hyballa, while the German coach has the group of players behind him. Van Den Abbeele now seems to be waiting for Hyballa to stop working with him and to leave NAC herself.
