“Ma FeVi” is now the name of a new association of friends of the Fête des vignerons, launched on Friday in Vevey (VD). Its objective is to organize different types of activities during the years which pass between two editions of the Fête des Vignerons.
“Inspired by a voluntary spirit, the association ‘Ma FeVi’ is a platform for meetings, exchanges and organization of events and activities related to the Winegrowers’ Feasts. It ensures the continuity of the tradition and is open to the people of the entire region who support them through the generations, “the founding members said in a statement on Friday.
Under the patronage of the Confrérie des Vignerons, the association was formed with a committee composed of eight members. Its mission is “to maintain the memory of the Festival and its spirit in the region of Vevey, the Pays de Vaud, Switzerland, and even abroad”. It will also implement fundraising.
It will allocate its receipts to activities allowing to support the Brotherhood of Vintners in the pursuit of its goals until the organization of the next Fête des Vignerons, explain its officials.
